PM Ujjwala Yojana 2020
This scheme was launched in 2016 and since then millions of poor families have been benefitted. The PM Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) scheme is currently active and covers 715 districts of the country. The main objective of this scheme is to provide clean fuel in the form of LPG gas connections to the BPL families not having access to clean fuel. This will empower women and also protect their health that was deteriorating due to smoke released from the unclean fuel.
Benefits of Scheme
- Cash assistance of Rs.1600/- is provided to the beneficiary for each new connection.
- Under this scheme, beneficiaries avail loan on refill or LPG Stove.
Eligibility
- An adult woman from a poor (BPL) family without an LPG connection.
- The age of the applicant should be more than 18 years.
- The applicant should be a citizen of India.
- The connection will be issued only in the name of the women of the family.
- Applicant families should not be availing the benefit under any other similar scheme.
- Identification of these beneficiaries will be done from SECC 2011 list or BPL households from the following seven categories viz.

Rojgar Yojana
Prime Minister’s Rozgar Yojana (PMRY) is initiated by Central Government of India to provide sustainable self-employment opportunities to 10 lakh educated unemployed youth and women in India. Under the scheme, the central government provides loans to unemployed youth of the country through various banks to start their own business at low interest rate.
Benefits of Scheme
- Normal interest rate shall be charged
- Repayment Schedule is between 3 to 7 years after an initial moratorium.
- Reservation are provided for weaker sections (SCs/STs), including women.
- Central Government will provide 10% to 20% subsidy to the beneficiaries.
- The scheme covers all economically viable business options, which includes agricultural allied activities (excludes direct agricultural operations)

Pradhan Mantri Kaushalya Vikas Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) implemented by National Skill Development Corporation. The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Eligibility
- You have to be an Indian national with a valid identity proof like a voter’s ID, Aadhaar card or a bank account

Ayushman Bharat Yojana
Ayushman Bharat Yojana or the National Health Insurance Programme is a government-sponsored scheme for Indian citizens that belong to the low-income strata or Below Poverty Line (BPL). This scheme can be categorized as a family floater health insurance plan where the policyholder and his/her family can avail benefits under the programme. It is designed to offer a helping hand to those who cannot afford the entire cost of a medical emergency. The Rashtra Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) is now available as the Ayushman Bharat Yojana

KVIC – Khadi & village Industries corporation
KVIC – Khadi and Village Industries Commission constituted as an apex body under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to help plan, promote, facilitate, organize and aid in the development of Khadi and Village Industries in rural India in conjunction with other agencies involved in rural development. It also helps in building up reserve of raw materials for supply to producers. The commission focuses in creation of common service facilities for processing of raw materials, such as semi-finished goods. KVIC has also helped in creation of employment in Khadi industry.

Aspire Scheme
ASPIRE Scheme or Scheme for promotion of innovation, entrepreneurship and Agro-Industry is promoted by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. It will promote Innovation & Rural Entrepreneurship through rural Livelihood Business Incubator (LBI), Technology Business Incubator (TBI) and Fund of Funds for start-up creation in the agro-based industry. The ASPIRE Scheme fund has a Rs.200 crore corpus.

The application can be sent to the Aspire Scheme Steering Committee of the Ministry of MSME. The Scheme Steering Committee will be responsible for overall policy, coordination, and management support. The Council will be chaired by Secretary, Ministry of MSME.

National Education Policy
Through this new education policy (NEP), the government is trying to bring more than 2 crore students into the mainstream and with the help of NEP they aim to achieve 100% GER (Gross enrollment ratio) from pre-school to secondary by the end of 2030. Details
- The new system will have 12 year of schooling and 3 years of pre-school/Anganwadi
- The 10+2 structure will be replaced by 5+3+3+4
- Students now take a school examination which was conducted by the appropriate authority in grades 3, 5, and 8
- Board examination for 10th and 12th will be continued but will be redesigned with the aim of holistic development
- PARAKH (Performance assessment, review, and analysis of knowledge for holistic development) a new national assessment platform will be set up
- Till grade 5 this policy will emphasize on local language/regional language/mother-tongue as the medium of instruction

- Mathematical thinking and scientific temper coding will start from class 6
- Vocational education will start in school from 6th grade which also includes internships
- At school and higher education, Sanskrit will also be included at all levels as an option for students which include three language formulas. No student would be forced for any Language
- As an option, literature of India and other classical languages will also be available
- Higher education will receive flexibility of subjects
- There will be multiple entries and exit points with appropriate certification for higher education
- UG programmed can be of 3 or 4 years with multiple exit options with appropriate certification in this period like certificate will be awarded after 1 year, advanced diploma after 2 years, degree after 3 years, and bachelor with research after 4 years

Agriculture
The Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan (meaning self-reliant India scheme) was announced in four tranches by the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in May 2020.
The economic stimulus relief package announced by the government is touted to be worth Rs.20 Lakh crores. This includes the already announced Rs 1.70 lakh crore relief package, as the PMGKY, for the poor to overcome difficulties caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown imposed to check its spread.
First tranche
The first tranche contained 16 specific announcements and they spanned across the MSME, NBFC, real estate, power sectors, etc.
Second tranche
The second tranche focuses on providing free food grains to migrant workers who do not possess ration cards.
Third tranche
The third tranche of the economic relief package focuses on agricultural marketing reforms. Many of the reforms announced are long pending and are expected to have a positive impact on both the farmers and the consumers.
Final tranche
The final tranche focuses on the sectors of defense, aviation, power, mineral, atomic, and space. There is a huge emphasis on privatization.
